The purpose of this website is to provide information to you to help you evacuate from Jefferson Parish in a manner that will produce the most safe and efficient evacuation of the Parish as a whole. Prior to the implementation of Contraflow, you will have many choices on which route to take out of the Parish. Once Contraflow is implemented, there are limited ways to exit the Parish and it becomes extremely important that you understand the restrictions that will be placed on your access to major interstates.

Additionally, Jefferson Parish has identified for you the best way for you to exit "The Danger Zone" that will result in a safe and efficient evacuation of the Parish. Although the suggested route may not provide direct access to your destination, it will provide the quickest exit for you from "The Danger Zone" and therefore the quickest way to safety for you and your family.
